The Cavs suffered defeat in their first game since 5th March against Ynysybwl, who’s victory guaranteed them the league title.
In boiling temperatures both teams made a fast start to the game, and like any other game between the teams it was an end to end affair.
The Bwl soon took the lead when a dangerous cross was fired home to make it 1-0.
Possession was equal and the game was still end to end but it was the Bwl who looked more like scoring as they missed another two good chances.
The Cavs had a few half chances and a few clear cut opportunities before the half-time whistle went.
Second half was much the same and after some end to end play Nelson got an equaliser, after some neat build up play Ryan Donovan volleyed home a Matthew Whitcombe cross, a great finish.
Match fitness soon told and the Cavs tired, a long ball over the top should have been dealt with but was met by an onrushing Bwl midfielder who lobbed Stockdale to put his side in the lead, before they added a third to secure the three points.
A close game for 65 minutes but Ynysybwl were deserved winners in the end.
Huge congratulation’s to Ynysybwl on securing the league title, winning the league with a few games to go and being in both cup finals shows how good they have been this season.
Everyone at the Cavs wishes them all the best in the play-offs!
