The rampant Cavaliers broke their long standing club record to get a record win.

The goals flowed at regular intervals and Nelson were 8-0 when they conceded a sloppy goal which denied them the clean sheet. Damian Paget’s back-pass was short which allowed the home striker to nip in and finish.

Half Time 1-8

From the Village’s kick off the Cavs won the ball and scored within ten seconds of the restart. This set them up nicely and the goals kept coming as Nelson kept playing some good football throughout.

Eight different scorers got on the score sheet with captain Ben Banks leading the way with five, Lewis Roberts continued his great run to grab his third hat-trick on the trot and there were two goals each for Dan Falconer and young Kenan James.

Other scorers were defenders Ian Dillon and Aaron Powell along with midfielders Dan Sudale and man of the match Gareth Marchant who had a great game in the centre of the park.

The Cavs have certainly found their shooting boots in the last three games with impressive figures of thirty one goals scored with just two goals conceded!
