1st team manager Martin Wilson has decided to step down from his position. Martin will still be involved with the club but feels it’s in the best interests of the club to step aside and bring someone new in as we look to gain promotion to the South Wales Alliance League.
The committee and players would like to thank Martin for the amazing job he’s done over the past 4 seasons, challenging in the upper reaches of the league and doing well in the cups in a period of transition, which has seen Martin develop the majority of second team players into first team players and has come close on so many occasions.
Well done on a fantastic few seasons and while we are gutted to lose you as manager, we hope to see you still involved in and around the club.

Nelson have been given a second chance of making the final of the Bernard Martin Cup after victorious semi-final opponents Llanbradach AFC were thrown out of the competition for fielding ineligible players. The Cavs will now have to replay the match away to Pontyclun FC on the 4th April in a bid to re-create the scenes pictured above in the semi final win vs Penrhos FC 2 years ago, and reach that 3rd cup final in as many seasons.
The cavs could only manage a 1-1 draw away at Tir-y-berth and were lucky to even escape with one point. Click for full match report
